Fascism???
Because some people have lost their fucking minds and think that Obama is a fascist, here is a definition of fascism (from Webster's Universal College Dictionary).
fas-cism - 1. a totalitarian governmental system led by a dictator and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism, militarism, and often racism.
This definition does not describe the administration of any US president, current or past, but it comes much closer to describing the most recent past administration (GWB) than it does Obama.
Is our system of government totalitarian? Is the president a dictator? Does it promote nationalism, militarism, or racism?
If you still "believe" Obama to be a fascist then there is no communicating with you and you are just a fucking moron not worthy of any effort.
I can understand if you don't like (some, or even all of) the things the Obama administration is doing, but labeling it fascist (or socialist, which is closer to reality, but still inaccurate) does nothing to further your cause.

WWJP - Who Wants a Jesus Puppet?

Came across this on the web and thought it was amusing. You, too, can own your own "big-mouth professional puppet" that is "30 inches tall with legs attached and approximately 19 inches with legs removed."
Why you might want to remove Jesus' legs is beyond me, but hey, I am definitely not their target audience.
Reading further, I learned that "(a)ll clothes are completely removable and interchangeable." Now we're getting somewhere. Jesus in a tutu? Wearing a kilt? Galoshes and a yellow Gorton's fisherman slicker? Now any of those sound like a lot more fun than merely removing his legs, doncha think?
But don't rush over there to buy one... unfortunately, it looks like Jesus sold out.

Obama Sees Signs of Economic Progress
President Barack Obama said on Friday the recession-hit U.S. economy was showing "glimmers of hope" despite remaining under strain and promised further steps in coming weeks to tackle the financial crisis.
I sure hope he is right and that these are signs of the economy beginning to recover from the Bush recession/depression.

Norm Coleman Needs to Concede
OK, Norm, you've had your fun. Your delusional multi-month belief that you will somehow defeat Al Franken in over! You've had your day in court. And the votes you wanted to be counted have been counted. And y'know what? Al Franken won more of those votes than you did! Are you happy now that you've wasted all that time and money giving your opponent more votes?
It is time for this to come to an end. Yes, Norm, you can still go to the Minnesota Surpreme Court... and I guess, even to the US Supreme Court. But you lost. And every time you win a court battle you lose more votes. Give it up... and learn to say this: Senator Al Franken!

Those Crazy Christian Leaders
A SUSPENDED Methodist minister admitted in court on Tuesday (24) that he sent an intimate picture of himself to his ex who is accused of beating him up... Reverend Bates of Rochester Avenue, Bromley told a jury that Ms Corp was "hassling" him after the relationship had ended but during cross examination admitted he had sent her a photograph of his erect penis after they had broken up.
Ahhhh, ya just gotta love a belief system that produces leaders like this guy.

Interesting Old Scientology Memo
Evidently, 20 years ago, Scientologists considered forming a Political Action Committee to advance their influence in government policies.
Interesting, especially that the memo was written by John Coale, who is currently an adviser to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (Rep).
If you want, you can read the entire memo here.
