The Los Angeles Times reported on Saturday that dozens of voters have complained they were duped by a firm working for the GOP into switching their party registration to Republican while being told they were signing a petition for tougher penalties on child molesters.
The switches could impede Democratic get-out-the-vote efforts and could prevent those affected from voting in next year's Democratic primaries. Some of the voters were even switched to absentee status, meaning they could lose their vote entirely if they show up at the polls on Election Day without bringing an absentee ballot.
This seems to me to be a much worse transgression than anything the right tries to drum up regarding ACORN. If you're interested, here is the LA Times story.

I maintain all voter fraud including registrations Barb, should be prosecuted. You would think partisans would be more loyal to democracy than their party.
ACORN being the largest, most organized, tax payer supported group out there is the huge problem. And, since they publicly support NoBama, their tax status should be revoked. If it is fair for the pastors and their churches it's fair for ACORN.
Amazing how in one paragraph you speak of non-partisanship, and then in the next paragraph you spout partisan drivel.
Here is a question for you: has there been any Republican-focused voter registration fraud? Or are you only regurgitating right wing talking points?
Well sir, here is your answer:
"The Los Angeles Times reported on Saturday that dozens of voters have complained they were duped by a firm working for the GOP into switching their party registration"
Ok, its not voter registration fraud but it is fraud. I would imagine if their was anything large taking place like ACORN you would let us know. We count on you partisans to keep us up to date.
To correct the record, the Feds busted ACORN, not the GOP.
Its been fun but I must move on guys. Get out and vote regardless of your candidate. We owe our nation that much.
I am partisan and proud - and I admit it freely. It always amuses me when partisans (like yourself mousey) claim to be non-partisan, yet prove otherwise thru their words and actions.
Stephen Colbert sheds his special brand of light on ACORN.
