Ronald Reagan Could Not Win the Republican Nomination in 2012

Reagan was a mediocre President at best and anyone who would put him on a pedestal or fashion their political life after him needs his head examined.

I completely agree with that sentiment Bawdy. I was not commenting on Reagan's qualities as president, just that the right's deification of him is unwarranted given his stances and their current stances.

Though I wouldn't vote for him, he(Reagan)would still barely be better than either of the "legitimate" candidates we have before us. That is the crux of our problem; having to settle between a fraud and someone who wants to take over as a fraud.

The transparency President, the peace President, the President for the little guy, the uniting President(worldwide uniting), the closing Guantanamo President, the non-wire tapping President, the supposed non-Bush President, the change President; need I go on. Yeah, he is a fraud.

Well, I agree that the president could be doing a better job of living up to some of those things, but I find him to be far from a fraud. For example, things are more transparent, more peaceful, and less Bush.

And he has had a House that has done everything in its power to obstruct everything that the president would like to do... it borders on traitorous.
