Christianity: World's Largest Case of Stockholm Syndrome

I ran across this interesting treatise calling organized religion, and Christianity in particular, the world's largest undiagnosed, and untreated, case of Stockholm Syndrome.

I had never thought of it that way, but the author makes an interesting case. If true, then it is reasonable to think of your religious friends as being in the control of a psychosis. Which kinda makes some of them easier to understand, doesn't it?

csm,

I hate to tell you this, but there is more activity on our old blog site than this one lately.

Have you read, Richard Dawkins's The god Delusion? Of course religious people are suffering from a DELUSION...... Isn't that a MENTAL ILLNESS?

Yes, anonymous, I have read The God Delusion, and I found it a hihgly agreeable read. You might be interested in reading this post where I discuss this book as well as a few others on religious delusion.

Thanks for the note about the old blog, Bawdy. I'll troll over there to see what is going on.

I've been checking-up on it, csm. Believe me, buddy, a world were Gene is the progressive advocate is not a world you want to inhabit.

The Whore in the Temple of Reason has had a couple interesting posts, lately.

I unsubscribed to the old blog. How are things going there?

Seems like fcc and Gene are talking to Bawdy over on the old blog. Anyone interested in chatting with fcc or Gene might want to troll on over there. I think I'll steer clear for the time being...
