Hypocritical Christian Church

A busy church food bank, known for offering warm drinks and snacks to its regulars, has announced it’s closing because it is attracting too many poor people.

And lord knows, you don't want those smelly poor people hanging around a church!

Hypocritical, yes. The only issue I have with your post is that it isn't a Christian church. From their website, their "five basic principles" include:

"Many paths lead to the one loving God"
Strike one.
"Our essence is of God and therfore every human being is inherently good"
Strike two.

and "Our beliefs" has:

"Unity teaches that the Spirit of God lived in Jesus, just as it lives in every person"
Strike three

Regardless of what they call themselves, their own statements of beliefs are a denial of even the most basic, foundational doctrines of Christianity.

Well, perhaps your (and even most people's) flavor of Christianity. But they are Christian - they claim to follow Jesus Christ, hence Christian.

Your claim makes me think of an Emo Phillips routine. View the video at this link --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBKIyCbppfs

(You can start at 2:49 in to get to the part I mean)
