i gotta say, those old testament dudes were some bad mother-shutyourmouth's.
never thought about it much, but i suppose this means the notion of rubbing your rivals face in it is, in fact, a notion of biblical origin.

in all truth, most folks would be surprised if they studied jewish scripture BEYOND the old testament. the jewish culture was quite different than most picture!

come 2 think about it, most would be shocked that jewish scripture beyond the old testament even exists, period.

I think my favorite incident with an old testament prophet was...Jeremiah (?) who was mocked by some kids, so he called a she-bear out of the woods who rent them limb from limb.
