McCain Advisor Wants a Terrorist Attack on US Soil

Charlie Black, a top adviser to John McCain, said another terrorist attack on U.S. soil would be a "big advantage" for the Republican presidential candidate. Already in the spotlight for his past lobbying work, Black is quoted in the upcoming July 7 edition of Fortune magazine as saying such an attack "certainly would be a big advantage to him."

Now that is the kind of bat shit crazy remark that should get Black fired if McCain has any balls left. Oh, the right can condemn Obama for things his ex-pastor said, but here we have someone on McCain's payroll saying even crazier and more damaging things... it should cause Black to be fired. And McCain should be called on the carpet about it every bit as much, if not more, than Obama was/is for Jeremiah Wright.

I sense desperation on the part of our moderator here to defame the McCain campaign at any opportunity. He is right, it would be a big advantage for the campaign just like high gas prices are a big advantage. This does not mean he is hoping or planning for such an attack on our soil. They two thoughts are not one and the same but csm knows this fact. Americans have become complacent and take their security for granted since our nation has done such a great job at securing their people they don’t give it much thought.

In the same spirit, do you suppose Hillary's comments a few weeks ago indicated she was hoping for someone to assassinate Obama? Maybe her? Something to think about.

that's funny; i saw the original comment as a sign of desperation for the mccain campaign. also, keep in mind that charlie black has developed a rather machiavellian reputation already; the press has been watching and waiting for a slip-up on his part, kinda like don imus.

there is an appropriate way to respond to these sorts of questions, and both black and hilary missed their opportunities to be diplomatic. just another reason why neither deserves to be connected to the oval office.

i noticed that both mccain and black have rescinded on this statement, and quickly. given black's background, i am amazed he is still working for mccain.

Well, mouse, Hillary's comment was treated that way in the media... just trying to be fair here and treat the right winger's comment the same way ;-)
