Those Crazy Christian Leaders

A SUSPENDED Methodist minister admitted in court on Tuesday (24) that he sent an intimate picture of himself to his ex who is accused of beating him up... Reverend Bates of Rochester Avenue, Bromley told a jury that Ms Corp was "hassling" him after the relationship had ended but during cross examination admitted he had sent her a photograph of his erect penis after they had broken up.

Ahhhh, ya just gotta love a belief system that produces leaders like this guy.

That's an interesting way of twisting an anomalous incident into a direct cause-effect relationship.

Doesn't the fact that he is a SUSPENDED minister imply that his behavior is NOT acceptable within this "belief system"?

Sounded to me like this was why he was suspended. At any rate, this is hardly a singular event. I plan to post many, many more of these.

I didn't say singular. I said anomalous (i.e. deviating from the norm). If you compare whatever list you come up with to a list of pastors, reverends, priests, etc. worldwide, you will find that it is an incredibly small percentage.

I think the percentage of pastors who are offenders is much greater than the percentage of regular people who are offenders.

That's pure speculation, but I doubt that it's true anyway. It might seem that way because of the press it gets. In any case, it isn't Christianity that "produces" this kind of behavior.

Tsk, tsk, G... Just how is that statement any less speculative than mine?

It isn't any different. I didn't intend to convey that it was. One man's speculation is just as valid as another's.
